The effectiveness of our approach lies in the integration of participatory, analytical, and creative methods.
Diagnostic Tools
We use Asset-Based Community Development mapping, transect walks, and cultural probes to uncover local and personal perspectives. Social Network Analysis and Participatory Systems Mapping reveal relationships and influence patterns. An over-arching Political Economy Analysis guides analysis, helping to understand incentives and constraints, while online sentiment surveys provide broader public input.
Design and Engagement Tools
Our Instant Design Lab enables collaborative and creative efforts to adapt and improve existing aspects of local democracies. Rapid prototyping helps to test workability of proposed solutions. Participatory Visioning Workshops use methods such as world cafés, fishbowl dialogues, and applied theatre to foster storytelling, creativity and consensus.
Impact Measurement
We apply Outcome Harvesting and Most Significant Change storytelling to capture qualitative and quantitative impacts. Theory of Change frameworks link proposed solutions to systemic shifts, while Citizen Scorecards and other accountability tools give communities a direct role in evaluating the impact of Civic Rise.
In-house Ai and Technological Support
Mobile survey platforms enable data collection in resource-limited environments. Qualitative analysis software supports in-depth interpretation of narrative data. Participatory mapping dashboards visualise networks to identify leverage points for change. Our In-house developed Ai tools help storytelling and ensure that stakeholder perspectives are heard.
